We primarily use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) in our sessions. CBT is a talking therapy that has been proven to help treat a wide range of common emotional problems. CBT focuses on the here and now, exploring how we think about situations and how this affects the way we feel and act. Our sessions will help you learn how to make changes your behaviour or your thinking patterns so that you can start to feel better.
We offer one to one sessions with one of our CBT practitioners. These will be at a pre-arranged time that is convenient for you and last up to 45 minutes each. We have appointments during the day and after 5pm

If you have a Skype account, our practitioners can call you through Skype for your one to one session.
We can offer up to 6 sessions of assistance with guided self help material. Useful booklets will be provided for you to work through at your own pace with guidance from one of our therapists. This will be arranged for times that are convenient to you and will take place over the phone.
A range of courses are available. They run for six weeks and last 90 minutes each. The courses are similar to an evening class in that they are educational rather than group therapy.
This course teaches techniques which are proven to be helpful in reducing symptoms of depression. The course explores how our thoughts and behaviour affect our mood and introduces techniques to help improve how we feel. This includes, how to challenge negative thinking, improve sleep and make behaviour changes to improve mood.
This course teaches techniques that have been found effective in reducing symptoms of anxiety. It explores how our thoughts and actions affect our anxiety and the impact anxiety has on our bodies. The course introduces techniques to reduce physical anxiety, challenge avoidance and manage worry.
This course explores what low self esteem is and how to improve it. This course focuses on understanding how low self esteem is maintained and teaches techniques that can help improve it, such as use of positive communication styles and challenging unhelpful thinking.
This course explores what Obsessive Compulsive Disorder is, how it is maintained and ways to reduce its symptoms. It teaches anxiety management techniques and how to use behaviour change to reduce OCD symptoms.
